How to Register for TOEIC Link: Step-by-Step Guide

TOEIC Link is the new online English proficiency test from ETS. This guide walks you through every step, from registering through an EPN partner to preparing your equipment and knowing what to expect on test day.

What Are EPN Partners?

ETS Preferred Network (EPN) partners are officially certified test delivery organizations authorized by ETS. All TOEIC Link registrations go through these partners. Each partner operates in specific regions and may offer different pricing and support levels.

Use Official Channels Only

Always register through EPN partners listed on the official ETS website. Using unofficial agents may lead to issues with your registration or scores.

Registration Process (6 Steps)

1
Step 1: Find an EPN Partner

ETS Preferred Network (EPN) partners are the official registration channels for TOEIC Link. Search for an EPN partner in your region on the ETS website.

  • Use the "Find a Test Center" page on the ETS website and select your region
  • Compare fees and support options if multiple partners are available
  • Choose between corporate and individual partner options based on your needs
2
Step 2: Create Your Account

Create a test-taker account on the EPN partner website. Register using the same name as on your identification documents.

  • Use the exact name shown on your passport or government-issued ID
  • Register a valid email address (used for score notifications)
  • Set a secure password and keep it in a safe place
3
Step 3: Select Your Test Sections

TOEIC Link is a modular test. You can choose which sections to take: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing.

  • Take all four sections for a comprehensive English proficiency profile
  • L&R only is also an option (equivalent to traditional TOEIC L&R)
  • Select sections based on your employer or university requirements
4
Step 4: Book Your Test Date

Choose your preferred test date and time from the calendar. Since you take the test online from home, pick a time when you can ensure a quiet environment.

  • Choose a quiet time slot (early morning or weekends work well)
  • The full four-section test takes approximately 81 minutes
  • Rescheduling is typically available up to 24-48 hours before the test
5
Step 5: Pay the Test Fee

Pay the registration fee using a credit or debit card. Payment methods vary by EPN partner.

  • Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) are accepted
  • Some partners also accept bank transfers or online payment services
  • Receipts are available as PDF downloads
6
Step 6: Equipment Check and Test Day

Verify your equipment meets requirements and complete the pre-test check before test day. Once everything is set, start your exam.

  • Run the system check tool before test day
  • Confirm a stable internet connection
  • Complete your setup at least 30 minutes before the test starts
