Stage 2 — issuing the notice

Stage 5 — confirming completion

The distractors ETS reuses
Because the workflow is predictable, the wrong answers are too.
- Remedy swap. The notice offers a refund; a distractor says replacement. Read which remedy is actually named — many notices offer a choice, and the question may ask which applies to a specific model.
- Voluntary vs mandatory. A stem tests whether the company acted on its own or was ordered to. Voluntary recall ≠ ordered by regulators.
- Action confusion. The notice says stop using and return; a distractor says continue using until a replacement arrives. The safety instruction is almost always to stop first.
- Scope swap. Only certain serial-number ranges are affected. A distractor implies all units are recalled when the notice limits it to one lot.
